Guiding
I’m Hamid. Welcome to my Morocco.
I was born in the Sahara and spent the last decade showing travelers the narrow medinas, hidden mountain passes, and authentic culture of my home country.
When most people come to Morocco, they experience exactly what the guidebooks planned for them. They see the big squares, the crowded souks, and the tourist traps. My goal as a driver and guide has always been to take people slightly off that beaten path.
If you want to know where to find the absolute best mint tea without being harassed, or how to properly bargain in a local market, or what it actually feels like to camp under the Milky Way in the deep desert—this is where I write it down.
Why I started this blog
Over 2,000 travelers have been in my 4x4. I found myself giving the same (highly secretive) advice over and over again: which corners of Marrakech to avoid, why you shouldn't rent a car in the mountains if you don't have to, and why local riads are infinitely better than big hotels.
I built this space so you can arrive in Morocco already feeling like an insider. No fluff, no sponsored lists. Just honest notes from a local who travels it for a living.
Want me as your guide?
I still actively guide and create custom, private itineraries. I run a small, highly-rated agency where you talk directly to me—not a call center.
